Floor Tile Manufacturer Swisstrax Announces New Corporate Headquarters.

Swisstrax, Inc., supplier of advanced interlocking floor tiles is moving. The garage floors superstar's move is slated for August of this year. The new corporate offices for Swisstrax in Indio, CA, will boast around 9200 square feet of warehouse and office space and will help the company focus on its rapid growth and expansion in export and North American markets. This is on top of the 15,000 sq. ft. production facility in So Cal. Swisstrax is also planning a new distribution facility in Tennessese for fall this year.

Swisstrax traces its origins and development back more than fifteen years to (surprise!) Switzerland. The advanced system was developed by the Swiss and has been sold throughout Europe and Scandinavia for many years, with nearly 22 million square feet of tile currently in use worldwide. Most of the floor tiles sold in the United States are manufactured in Southern California, so while it looks and sounds like an imported product, it’s really made domestically.

The Swisstrax Interlocking Flooring System is a perfect way to make any unsightly or damaged floor surface look new again or to simply and quickly make any garage floor, retail showroom, auto dealership, aircraft hanger or patio look new and beautiful in a few hours. The best part…it’s guaranteed for twelve years! Unlike painted-on epoxy systems which often require days to install and use harsh acids and noxious chemicals to prepare and finish the floor surface, Swisstrax requires no advance preparation. It doesn’t require adhesives of any kind and can be installed in most residential applications in about four to five hours.

Randy Nelson, President of Swisstrax, says “Hardware, software & service. (HSS) We provide our customers with great products, competitive prices and we deliver to your doorstep. Swisstrax is the ultimate solution for cracked, chipped or stained concrete floors. Creating an attractive and unique look for your garage floors, patios, aircraft hangers, toy barns, museums and workshops or other concrete areas could not be easier. These modular floors are a cost effective alternative to epoxy or other coatings—lasting longer, easy to install, and 100% portable, so they can be taken with you—try that with epoxy coatings!”

Swisstrax, Inc., the next generation of floor covering, is moving to new headquarters to be able to serve your even better. Contact them today for more information or samples at 866-748-7940 or on the web at www.swisstrax.com.

Questions & Answers - Garage Flooring

Transforming a cracked or old garage floor into a durable beautiful finished surface is a snap with interlocking garage floor tiles. That's the commitment you get with the twelve year warranty provided by the world's best garage floor tiles. If you have a question about installing a new garage floor, please ask. The toll-free number is 1-866-748-7940. We found this handy Q&A and want to share it on our blog:

from Excell Garage Interiors

Q: My garage floor has uneven spots and cracks. Will Swisstrax still work?
A: Yes. Swisstrax is actually the perfect solution for a floor that has cracks, chips, or uneven spots. Swisstrax tiles will conform to most surface blemishes.

Q: Does Swisstrax have any kind of warranty?
A: Yes, Swisstrax has a 12 year manufacturers warranty. Try getting that with paint or epoxy!

Q: Do I have to lift Swisstrax up to clean underneath them?
A: No. Swisstrax tiles do not have to be moved. The best way to clean underneath the tiles is to run a shop vac over the areas with heavy traffic every couple of months. You may also hose the garage out. Swisstrax tiles have channels on the backside that allow water to drain out.

Q: How do I clean the surface of the tiles?
A: Simply sweep or mop your new floor as needed. For scuffs or spills use any house hold cleaner.

Q: How does Swisstrax compare in price to other flooring options?
A: Swisstrax tiles are about middle of the road when it comes to price. While pain is the least expensive way to go, it is also the least durable. Epoxy is much more durable than paint, but it is also much more expensive. Average epoxy jobs can run $5 - $7 a square foot. Swisstrax tiles are under $5 a square foot, are much more durable than paint or epoxy, and come with a 12 year warranty.

Q: Can you put the tiles around poles, shelves, cabinets, or other obstacles that can't be moved?
A: Yes, Swisstrax tiles can be cut to fit around almost any object.

Q: Can I install my new Swisstrax flooring system myself, or do I need a professional?
A: Anyone can install a Swisstrax floor! The snap together tiles make the job easy. All that's needed for installation is a cutting tool. The best household tool is a jigsaw.
